The Kansas Volunteer Commission and Emporia State University School of Humanities + Social Sciences are excited to announce the 2024 Civic Engagement Conference. The conference will be held Wednesday, April 10 at Emporia State University Memorial Union, in Emporia, KS. The theme of the conference is “Empowering Kansas through Civic Engagement”.

The $25 registration includes continental breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and networking opportunities.

    The primary audience of the conference includes:

    • Mentoring, nonprofit and volunteer management professionals
    • National service members and staff (including AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps Senior)
    • Nonprofit executive leadership and board members
    • School staff and students (Jr. High, High School, Postsecondary)

    Cancellation Policy: All requests for cancellations and refunds must be made in writing and emailed to with "Cancellation Request" or "Refund Request" in the subject line. The date of the cancellation will be the date the email is sent. It is the responsibility of the registrant to confirm receipt of cancellation. No refunds will be issued for registrations canceled or created after 5 pm on April 1, 2024. Refunds will be issued via check within 60 days of the cancellation request.
