The Ballard Center has a mission to partner with families to achieve stability through early childhood education and needs-based services by cultivating a strong network of organizations, businesses, and individuals dedicated to serving our community. These Missions make it clear that our two entities strongly align around a common goal to engage and strengthen the community by creating service opportunities that improve lives.

| Program Focus: Education The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence engages AmeriCorps Members who will serve directly with disadvantaged youth to provide academic and social/emotional interventions at locations across Kansas.

Program Focus: Education The Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan engages AmeriCorps members who will provide academic, social, and emotional interventions to BGC students performing below the standard in Manhattan and Wamego public schools.

Program Focus: Education The Center for Supportive Communities engages AmeriCorps members who will serve as mentors and interventionists for elementary, middle, and high school students attending any public school in the Kansas counties of Douglas and Wyandotte.

Program Focus: Education USD 260 engages AmeriCorps members to tutor students in math, reading, and kindergarten readiness in the Derby Public Schools. The Educator Academy engages AmeriCorps members to develop effective, compassionate, and anti-racist educators who work to ensure students receive a quality education. They do this through a teacher residency model, which allows AmeriCorps members to hone their teaching skills in a Mentor teacher's classroom for a full school year.

Program Focus: Education The Teachers College Literacy Center at Emporia State University engages AmeriCorps members to provide literacy interventions to students Pre-K through third grade in Lyon, Osage and Coffey counties. At the end of the first program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for serving 120 students with the goal of increasing student achievement.

Program Focus: Public Health The mission of the Immunize Kansas Coalition is to protect all Kansans from vaccine-preventable
diseases. IKC is a Statewide organization that cross-collaborates with National leaders, KDHE, and
other key organizations within the State of Kansas. We provide messaging, resources, and advocacy

Program Focus: Public Health The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas, engages AmeriCorps members in maintaining and sustaining crucial government services and practices. These members will accomplish various tasks, helping maintain the systems and processes by which our cities function and providing essential municipal services to the residents in Wyandotte County and the Kansas City, Kansas area.

Program Focus: Capacity Building The Wichita State University Community Engagement Institute (CEI) engages AmeriCorps members to serve students in Sedgwick County and the Wichita Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). Through their efforts, AmeriCorps members serve by increasing the capacity of organizations by improving academic success and workforce development opportunities for students served.
