Volunteer Manager Support Groups with group of volunteers gardening.

If you work with volunteers, consider joining a local volunteer managers group to share best practices and network. Volunteer management is the process government, faith-based entities, and nonprofit organizations use to recruit, track, engage and retain volunteers. Managing volunteers is key to developing and maintaining effective, passionate, and dedicated volunteers. Therefore, our Commission defines a volunteer managers group as an association that meets (in person or virtually) to support one another in the work of volunteer management.

More specifically, a volunteer managers group provides a network of peers, training support, and professional development in and around volunteer management. Below is a list of groups for volunteer managers groups around the state. Don't see your group represented here? Or want to start a volunteer managers group in your area? Please email volunteer@ksde.org.
